Magic is a highly important skill to have, although not everyone can use it. It is broken into light and dark magic. Magic is controlled by using an object such as a wand or staff to the magical energy inside them. Magic can be used without an amplifying object, but that magic tends to be more dangerous, more taxing on the body and more wild.
The most common forms of magic are the following: Spells, Charms, Curses, Hexes and Enchantments. Each form has a slightly different use, which is explained below.
Dark magic is generally associated with those who are part of the Zena Religion.
Spells
Spells are a generic term for any piece of magic.
Charms
Charms do not alter the basic properties of the basic principle or properties of a spell, however they do put a special power on an object.
Jinxes
Jinxes are spells whose affects are irritating to the victim, but can also be amusing. These spells are not considered to be strictly dark magic.
Hexes
Hexes are strictly considered dark magic. These spells are often harmful and strong emotions must be used to successfully conjure such a spell. Hexes often leave behind scars on anyone who uses them.
Curses
Curses are a type of dark enchantment. These spells are often elaborate and require multiple steps to enact.
Incantations
Incantations are most commonly uses in ceremonies such as rituals. They are rhyming chants, and each word or phrase has weighted meaning.
Enchantments
Enchantments are elaborate groupings of spells that are used for a variety of reasons. Enchantments are considered one of the strongest types of magic to cast.
